Personally I find that many of the locations for the Wayfarer quests to be rather dull. Some like the the Mausoleum and and entombed leviathan are great, but other places are just picked because they're out of the way or obvious. I invite people to make their own list of "vistas" or just list places that weren't done already. A few I would include on my list would be:

The falls above Druid's Outlook
The ridge on the western edge of Talus Chute
The swamp in Dragon's Gullet
The strange face in the first level of Sepulchre of Dragrimmar (among other duplicates)
The patch of grass during Abbadon's Mouth
The giant cavern in Moddok Crevisse explorable.
The top area thing in Tahnnaki's Temple.
The area overlooking the lake in Mineral Springs (think titan quest)
Gate of the Nightfallen Lands, just so people realize it exists.

I don't understand why it had you go to the shrine of Lyssa, but not the Balthazar or Grenth one.

The various statues are neat; the Grenth temple in Lornar's pass and Balthazar's would have been good locations.
Having to meet Maw the Mountain Heart would also be a nostalgic. And of course; the Iron Forgeman (or just having to visit anywhere in Sorrow's Furnace).

I was surprised you never had to go into the Undercity in Cantha and I thought the Roost might have featured.

And there's nothing in the Realm of Torment? There's some stuff related to the insect god in the Domain of Fear(?)

EotN is reasonably covered: the Dungeons already cover a lot.
The boss room in Frostmaw's Burrows is my favourite location in the game, but there's not prominent landmark there.

Nice initiative Relyk, lets think of loads of these and implement them in the zaishen routine as Zaishen Tourist Quests or something.

1. the sunspear crypt in blacktide den
2. the floating pandora rocks in riven earth
3. the falls in morning veil falls
4.the temple of grenth in lornar's pass
5.Garden of Seborhin(sp?)
6.Shipwreck in Scoundrels Rise
7.Top of the harbour in Market place ( mantid area )
8.The Halcyon in Boreas Seabed

Might be nice to try and find some worthy landmarks in explorable's that are completely optional ( like Dry Top ).

Without looking at any hard to pass limitations:

1: The watermill in green hills country (It's where I decided during trial that I was going to buy)
2: Say hi to the emperor in the Divine path (as a memory of all the Shiro-runs I did)
3: look at the gardens of the Grand Forum of Vabb (my favourite spot in the game)
4: Visit melandru's shrine in the tunnel's below Cantha (or any of the other 2 versions off course)
5: Visit the lighthouse in Lions arch (for my own sentimental reasons)
6:take the elevator in arborstone (cause it is so cool)
7: Visit the Great Margonite Temple (A good excuse to say by to my trusty jujundu wurm).
8: Visit the hall of heroes (ToPK).

The secret cave outside Ft Ranik in Pre-Searing (that Nick ruined. haha)
The Dwayna painting in the middle of the lake in Dragons Gullet
The beaches of North Kryta Province and Watchtower Coast
The Falls
The hidden Shrines to each god (Grenth, Lyssa, Balthazar, etc)
The giant statue in the Arid Sea
The burning forest in Sacnoth Valley
The Eye of the North
The Jade Sea

I could go on - the scenery was a huge part of my Guild Wars experience. So many little details! You never knew, while you were out in the middle of nowhere, what little point of interest you were going to stumble upon. What vista you would discover. Runestones, Ruins, Fossils... I love them all.

I was suprised that the temple to grenth in lornars pass (an absolute must), and to balthazar in the falls were not on the list.

Who can forget thunderhead keep in the days before power creep.

How can we forget the Rabbit Hole? I remember doing that quest and having an ominous sense of foreboding as I entered. Just follow the rabbit, it says. I knew I was going to get jumped and yet I still ventured forward.

Another that comes to mind is The Iron Forgeman. Before power creep, I absolutely dreaded dealing with this beast. Returning later for the Black Moa mini quests, it didn't seem nearly as threatening.

They are not really 'floating'. It's called quantum levitation or flux pinning.

-bottomless pit
-shrine to Wolf
-Flaming Scepter Mages cave in Dalada Uplands

There are others, but I just love the whole concept of the Reverie.
Kind of a farewell tour, at least for those leaving for GW2.

For those of us staying, it's a good excuse to do some stuff we would have done eventually anyway (the Crystal Overlook quest with Kehpkhet Marrowfeast, for example).

Not really a landmark but still an event that never gets old: be in Temple of the Ages or near a god statue when the world gains favor.
